There's still time to register for Summerhouse Houston's Pre-ETS Vocational Training Cohort beginning June 22!

This hands-on program helps youth and young adults build the skills needed for future employment success through:

✅ Job Exploration
✅ Workplace Readiness Training
✅ Work-Based Learning Experiences
✅ Self-Advocacy Skills
✅ Small-Group, Person-Centered Instruction

Over 20 hours of vocational training, participants will gain practical experience, build confidence, and develop skills that can help them prepare for employment and greater independence.

Community partnerships help make meaningful opportunities possible.

We're grateful for our partnership with Compudopt, where Summerhouse members have opportunities to contribute to the community while practicing important workplace and life skills. Through tasks that require organization, attention to detail, teamwork, and responsibility, members build confidence and gain hands-on experience in a real-world environment.

These experiences not only strengthen skills but also foster meaningful relationships, community connection, and a sense of purpose.

Members are supported in exploring their interests, strengthening independence, building friendships, and participating in real-world experiences throughout the community.

Please join us in welcoming Abby Tole to the Summerhouse Houston team as our new Advancement Associate!

Abby recently graduated from Texas A&M University and is excited to begin her journey supporting Summerhouse's mission. In her role, Abby will help strengthen donor relationships, support fundraising efforts, coordinate special events, and build community partnerships that create opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We are thrilled to have Abby's enthusiasm, creativity, and passion for making a difference as part of our team. We look forward to the impact she will make as we continue building a community where adults with IDD belong and impact Houston.
