This month (and always) we celebrate AAPI Heritage Month by honoring the beautiful cultures, lasting contributions, and powerful voices within the community. We recognize the women who continue to lead and inspire the future generations in our industry ✨

2019, a year of growth, access, and showing up for each other.

From Speed Mentoring sessions that sparked real conversations to Wise Within gatherings that created space for honesty and connection, WISE Houston continued to build a community rooted in support.

We came together for Power Play and Financial Fitness, investing in both our professional paths and personal foundations. Whether it was learning, sharing, or leveling up, these moments moved us forward.

From nights at the Rockets game to experiencing the arts at TUTS, we found ways to connect beyond the day-to-day and celebrate the full scope of what this community can be.

We also honored the incredible leaders shaping our industry at Women of Inspiration, a reminder of what’s possible when women lead, mentor, and open doors for others.

As we celebrate 10 years of WISE Houston, we look back on 2019 as a year that deepened relationships, expanded opportunities, and continues to shape the community we’re proud to be part of.

Our 2019 WISE Honorees each brought a distinct kind of impact to the world of sports.

Julia Morales Clark has become a familiar face on the sidelines for the Houston Astros and Rockets, covering some of the biggest moments in sports and continuing to break barriers in broadcasting, including making history in MLB play by play.

Amy Palcic has spent more than two decades shaping how sports stories are told behind the scenes, leading communications for major organizations and playing a key role in moments that reach millions, from the NFL to major philanthropic efforts.

Gretchen Sheirr has helped drive the business side of the Houston Rockets to new heights, rising through the organization to lead operations, partnerships, and innovation across one of the premier venues in sports and entertainment.
