Prevention is better than cure.

A few simple precautions can prevent a lifetime of pain. Keep hot liquids, matches and lighters out of children’s reach, make your home safer, and know what to do in an emergency.

Because when it comes to burns, prevention can save lives.

What began as an ordinary motorcycle ride turned into a painful accident when Zunaira and Zainab’s feet became caught in the motorcycle wheel, causing severe injuries.

They were brought to the Hashmat Effendi Burn & Plastic Surgery Department, where the surgical team promptly assessed their injuries, began treatment, and supported them throughout their recovery. Their family was also counselled on essential safety precautions when travelling with children on motorcycles.

Today, Zunaira and Zainab are on their road to recovery. ❤️

Their story is an important reminder: when travelling with children on a motorcycle, always make sure their feet are safely away from the wheels.

Sometimes, one small moment can turn an ordinary journey into a life-changing accident.

Ride safe. Protect our children.

Today, we mourn the loss of a beautiful soul.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.

Deeply saddened by the passing of Syeda Perwin Babar Ali. She was a woman of grace, kindness and gentleness whose warmth could be felt even in the smallest moments.

The last time I met her, I had the privilege of sitting beside her at dinner at her home. From time to time, I held her hand, and she would look at me with the sweetest, gentlest smile. It feels like only yesterday. That beautiful memory will always remain close to my heart.

Death may take her from our sight, but it can never take away the beautiful memories she left in our hearts.

May Allah SWT shower her with infinite mercy and grant her the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous. May Allah grant the entire family strength and sabr during this heartbreaking loss.

Forever remembered. Forever in our prayers. Ameen.

Hashmat Effendi

Another fire incident in Lahore reportedly caused by a short circuit is a reminder that electrical safety cannot be taken lightly.

Short Circuit Fire Safety

A small electrical fault can quickly become a life-threatening fire.

Prevent electrical fires by avoiding overloaded sockets, replacing damaged or exposed wires, keeping appliances away from water, and having electrical faults repaired by a qualified electrician.

🚨 In case of an electrical fire:
• Switch off the main power only if it is safe to do so.
• Evacuate immediately.
• Call emergency services.
• Never use water on an electrical fire.

Stay alert. Stay safe. Prevent electrical fires.
