June is Men’s Health Month, a national observance aimed at raising awareness of preventable health problems and encouraging early detection and treatment of disease, including cancer and mental health issues. It highlights the need for regular checkups, particularly as men are less likely to visit the doctor than women. Let’s take action to improving our health as men by taking the following steps below. Have a great Men’s Health Month.
Actionable Steps to Take in June
• Schedule a Checkup: Make an appointment for a physical or screenings.
• Raise Awareness: Use the Men's Health Network Digital Media Toolkit to share resources, according to the Men's Health Month website.
• Host/Attend Events: Organize health fairs or workplace wellness initiatives.
• Focus on Mental Health: Encourage conversation and reduce the stigma of seeking therapy.

When life gets tough, it can be challenging to reach out to a friend you haven't connected with in a while. Remember that it's not too late to pick up where you left off.

Progress isn’t always obvious. Showing up for yourself, even in small ways, is a victory worth celebrating.
