National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. That's dangerous and often tragic. That's why Dickinson Police Department, partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is giving folks from across the city the opportunity to clean out their medicine cabinets - safely and anonymously – and rid their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
On Saturday, October 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the public can bring prescription medication for disposal to the parking lot of the Dickinson Police Station at 4000 Liggio, Dickinson, Texas. The DEA cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps, so ONLY pills or patches will be accepted. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. Officials will be at the parking lot entrance to assist with collecting and disposing of the prescription medication, so those dropping off will not have to get out of the car and go into the building.
