If you notice these signs along White Oak Drive between Studemont and Heights Blvd., please give a big thank you to Paul Kenley and Council Member Joe Panzarella!
TxDOT construction trucks were using Oxford very early in the morning to get to I-10. Paul raised the problem and we pointed out the need for some signage.
But the original sign had been removed. The District C office worked with TxDOT to get the signs returned. Thank you Anna!

METRO's Evolve Shuttle has a route through the Heights. The shuttle is currently free.
That's about to change though.
Starting 09/28 it will cost $1.25.
Service will be expanded to Monday-Friday 7 am to 7 pm.

Riders will begin paying for the service that had been free during its pilot phase.

Councilmember Alejandra Salinas secured funding for illegal dumping in the current budget. To help target hot spots, the At Large 4 office also has these signs.
I've invited the office to attend our next meeting on October 20th - we could use a few of the signs for some of the recurring hot spots in our area.

The Harris County Elections Department now has an app!
Lots of news lately about checking your voter registration which you can do via the app as well as look up voting locations and lots more.

Houston Public Works are repairing a series of water leaks along West 18th street. All repairs are expected to be completed by Thursday, September 16th.

Thanks to our colleague City Council Member Amy Peck for bringing this to our attention and leading the front on these important repairs. 💧

Join Council Member Joe Panzarella for his 100 Days Town Hall

This town hall will feature a presentation by Council Member Joe that includes highlights from his first 100 Days in Office, introduce the District C team, walk through some FAQs, and answer residents’ questions in a live Q+A! There will also be several city departments and agencies tabling during the town hall so residents can directly engage with department staff to ask questions, elevate issues, and get further connected to City Resources.
