PTSD Awareness Month: Help Us Bring Hope to Those Who Served

Every day, combat Veterans across our nation battle invisible wounds that most people never see. PTSD, depression, anxiety, and moral injury can leave Veterans feeling isolated, hopeless, and unsure where to turn.

At the PTSD Foundation of America | Camp Hope, we witness the power of healing every day. Through peer support, mentoring, life-skills training, and a community of fellow Veterans who understand their struggles, men and women are finding hope, rebuilding relationships, and reclaiming their lives. The organization's mission is to provide hope and healing to Veterans and their families affected by combat-related PTSD and other invisible wounds.

This PTSD Awareness Month, you can make a direct impact.

💙 Your gift helps provide a safe place for Veterans to heal.
💙 Your support reminds a struggling Veteran that they are not alone.
💙 Your generosity helps transform lives and strengthen families.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps us continue this mission of restoring hope and healing to those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Lumos Social Entertainment, Management Team, and Staff.

The PTSD Foundation of America | Camp Hope extends our sincere gratitude to Lumos Social Entertainment for hosting our May Camp Hope graduates for an incredible day of fellowship, fun, and lunch at their outstanding venue.

We are incredibly grateful to KPMG for spending Tuesday, May 12th at Camp Hope for a powerful Day of Service that made a lasting impact across our campus.

Their team rolled up their sleeves and worked side-by-side with our staff and residents on projects that directly support the healing environment our Combat Veterans rely on every day. From maintaining the landscaping at Serenity Park, to breaking down pallets that will be recycled into firewood for residents, to organizing and consolidating essential office supplies, every act of service helped strengthen our mission in meaningful ways.

As if their hard work wasn’t enough, the KPMG team also generously provided and served lunch from Gringo's Mexican Kitchen to our Combat Veteran residents. More than just a meal, they brought encouragement, smiles, and genuine compassion that reminded our veterans they are seen, valued, and supported.

Because of community partners like KPMG, Camp Hope continues to be a place where healing happens and hope is restored for Combat Veterans recovering from the unseen wounds of war. Thank you for your generosity, servant hearts, and unwavering commitment to those who have served our nation.

This Week on Road to Hope Radio with David Maulsby

Join us this Wednesday as we welcome Army Veteran Matthew Lunsford of Buford, Georgia, who will share his powerful journey from combat, struggle, and despair to hope and healing.

Matthew served as an 11B Infantryman with deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. After returning home, he faced the invisible wounds of war, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. He battled nightmares, hyper-vigilance, and alcohol abuse for years. Following a relapse, his wife helped him find the PTSD Foundation of America | Camp Hope, where he arrived in January 2026 with little hope for the future. In Matthew’s own words, “I didn’t have any hopes when I first got here.”

Now, Matthew is experiencing something he never thought possible, the restoration of hope, purpose, and faith. Tune in as he shares how Camp Hope has helped him rebuild his life, reconnect with God, and begin a new chapter of healing.

Don’t miss this inspiring conversation on Road to Hope Radio, hosted by David Maulsby, where real Veterans share real stories of transformation and recovery.
