Day 3 of COA Sports Camp was a success!

We truly were more than conquerors in all things, including the weather! In spite of the clouds and rain sprinkles, everyone had a fantastic final night together as we wrapped up an incredible week of camp.

From sports and teamwork to friendships, faith, and community, this week has been such a beautiful reminder of God’s goodness and the joy that happens when we come together to serve and love our neighbors.

Thank you to every camper, family, coach, volunteer, and church partner who helped make COA Sports Camp such a special week. We are grateful for every moment and every memory made.

Hi COA Sports Camp Families,

Due to the possibility of rain this evening, we are adjusting our plan for tonight’s camp.

We will begin in the Rec Center Gym with check-in and dinner from 5:30–6:00 pm. This will allow everyone to stay dry indoors while we monitor the weather.

At 6:00 pm, if the weather has passed and the skies are clear, we will move forward with camp activities outside and end early at 7:45 pm to avoid the predicted 8:00 pm rain.

Families are welcome to choose the option that works best for them:

1. Stay and wait with us during check-in and dinner while we monitor the weather.

2. Pick up dinner and your camper’s camp gift, then head home for the evening.

Our goal is to keep everyone safe while still providing a meaningful evening for our campers if the weather allows.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding. We will continue to monitor conditions closely and make the safest decision for our campers, families, and volunteers.

Blessings!

🏀⚽❤️ Day 2 at COA Sports Camp reminded us that camp is about so much more than learning sports skills.

Yes, campers are improving their dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork. But some of the most important things happening this week can't be measured on a scoreboard.

They're found in the friendships forming between volunteers serving side by side. They're found in the conversations between parents cheering from the sidelines. They're found in the encouragement coaches give, the lessons they teach, and the example they set for the next generation.

These small moments are often the very things God uses to make a big impact.

At COA, our mission is to strengthen our community through unity, helping our neighbors learn to love God and one another together. Every smile shared, every helping hand offered, and every word of encouragement spoken is part of that mission in action.

This year's theme is More Than Conquerors, inspired by Romans 8:37:

"In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."

As campers grow in confidence and character, we're grateful to see God at work not only on the field and court, but also in the relationships being built throughout our community.

Thank you to every volunteer, coach, parent, church partner, and camper who is helping make this week so special. Day 2 was full of victories that will last far beyond the final whistle.

🏀⚽️ Day 1 of COA Sports Camp is officially underway!

What an amazing start to a week centered on our theme, "More Than Conquerors" from Romans 8:37:

"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."

Today, children from across our community came together to learn new skills, make new friends, and discover the incredible truth that our strength, confidence, and victory come through Christ.

COA Sports Camp is about more than sports. It is an opportunity for local churches and our neighborhood to come together, strengthening our community as we learn to love God and love one another. Through every game, every story, and every conversation, we are building relationships that point children toward the love of Jesus.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, coaches, storytellers, and partner churches who are serving so faithfully this week. Your dedication is helping create a place where kids are encouraged, supported, and reminded that they are deeply loved by God.

Day 1 was filled with smiles, energy, and excitement—and we're just getting started!
