Does anyone know what breed of dog this is? 🤔🐴

We’re a dog rescue… but sometimes our rescue doesn’t stick to species.

This handsome guy came to us as an owner surrender from someone who truly cared, but could no longer afford to give him the care he deserves.

The good news? He’s already had his hooves trimmed and has a vet check-up scheduled, so he’s on the right track and getting exactly what he needs.

We may be a little out of our usual lane, but at the end of the day, rescue is rescue. Whether they bark or neigh, they all deserve safety, care, and a second chance.

We are fortunate to have a foster spot set up for him to have a ton of space, and an experienced horse caretaker to make sure he is getting the best care possible!

Welcome to the ADORE crew, big guy. 🤎🐴

(And yes… the foster’s dogs are a little confused right now 😂)

First picture is at intake, second is after two weeks with our foster!

🐾 Meet Chai 🐾
A street survivor turned sweetheart 🤎✨

Chai was rescued from the streets after a tragic accident where her leg got stuck in a wooden fence, and she sadly needed an amputation. But don’t let her tripod status fool you—this girl is FULL of life and love. 🥹🐾

Chai is a sweet, gentle kitty who loves toys, enjoys pets, and is absolutely obsessed with her squeeze tube treats 😻 She loves sunbathing, lounging on the couch, and living the cozy indoor life she’s always deserved.

She can be a little shy at first and will sometimes seek cover to hide—but don’t worry… she’s easily lured out with treats and curiosity always wins. 🍗🐱

🏡 Chai is currently in a foster home getting socialized, and she’s doing better every day. She will do best with someone who is patient and understanding, and willing to give her the time she needs to feel safe.

⭐ Her biggest selling point?
She may have 3 legs, but she’s been putting in OVERTIME making biscuits like she’s getting paid for it. 🥐😂💛

Chai is ready for her forever home—could it be yours? 🐾🤍 Fill out an application at www.adorehouston.org

🐾 WOODY NEEDS OUR HELP 🐾
Woody is a 5-year-old Corgi who came into our care after being surrendered due to a change in his owner’s living situation. He was not getting along with another dog in the home, and as difficult as the decision was, he was surrendered to us.
Sadly, Woody is not well.
He has a painful medical history involving a perineal hernia. He previously underwent surgery in February to repair it, but continued to show signs of distress and straining. After coming into our care, our veterinary team completed a thorough evaluation and determined that the hernia is still severely impacting his quality of life.
Woody was referred to a specialist at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists, where the doctor confirmed that Woody urgently needs another surgery to properly repair and remove the hernia. He will also require at least one night of hospitalization for recovery.
Right now, Woody is uncomfortable and struggling with basic functions like defecation. It is heartbreaking to see him try to go about his day while clearly not feeling well. He deserves relief. He deserves comfort. He deserves a chance to feel like a normal, happy dog again.
We are currently raising funds to help cover the cost of his surgery and hospitalization. Without this procedure, Woody will continue to suffer.

We’re reaching out to our community for help keeping our rescue dogs safe and healthy ❤️🐾

One of the most important things we provide for every dog in our care is preventative protection—including heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. Heartworms are spread by mosquitoes and can cause severe, life-threatening damage to a dog’s heart and lungs. Fleas and ticks can lead to skin infections, allergic reactions, parasites, and even serious diseases.

The hardest part? All of this is completely preventable with monthly medication—but once a dog becomes infected or infested, treatment can be long, expensive, and very hard on their body.

As a rescue, we take in dogs from all kinds of situations, and many come to us without ever having had proper preventative care. Making sure every single dog stays protected is one of our top priorities—but it adds up quickly.

💛 We are asking for donations to help us cover the cost of heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives, along with other basic care.
100% of donations go directly to our animals—nothing is wasted, and everything helps us continue saving lives.

If you’re able to donate, no amount is too small. And if you can’t donate right now, sharing this post helps more than you know.

Thank you for being part of our village and helping us protect these dogs 🐶✨

🐾 Meet Jasper & Juniper! 🐾
Double the cuteness, double the love! 💛

Jasper and Juniper are two adorable puppies with big hearts and playful personalities! They may be siblings, but they’ll be adopted into separate homes so each can thrive and bond with their new family. 🏡✨

They are both super sweet and currently working with a trainer to learn puppy manners (and they’re doing great!). Since they’re still young, they can easily adapt to new environments, routines, and family life—making them a great fit for many types of homes!

✅ Up to date on vaccines
✅ Microchipped
✂️ Will be spayed/neutered when age-appropriate

If you’re ready for a loyal, loving pup to grow with your family, Jasper or Juniper might be your perfect match! 💛

🚨 UPDATE: From Street Life to Sweet Life 🐾💛

We are so happy to share an update on our brave little rescue girl who was found trapped between fence boards and suffering with a severe leg injury.

After receiving the devastating news that her leg could not be saved, she underwent her amputation surgery at Houston Spay and Neuter—and we are incredibly relieved to say her surgery went GREAT. 💛

She is now safely recovering in a loving foster home, learning what it feels like to rest, heal, and be cared for indoors. This girl is already showing us just how resilient she is!

Even as a new tripod, she is doing amazing! she’s being gently socialized and learning what it means to feel safe inside a home. And the best part? She is an absolute sweetheart… making biscuits, soaking up love, and proving she’s ready for her second chance. 🐾🥹

We are still raising funds to cover her medical care, recovery needs, and follow-up visits. Every donation and share helps us continue saving animals like her.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible—your support truly
saved her life. 💛

🚨 Urgent Fundraiser: Help Save This Sweet Girl 🐾💔

Last week, we received a heartbreaking call about a cat trapped between fence boards, terrified and unable to move. She had been stuck, suffering, with no way out. The homeowner tried everything—including calling the fire department—but was told they do not handle cat rescues. With nowhere else to turn, she reached out to the police department, who then sent Constable Flores to assist, and Adore Houston was contacted.

We didn’t hesitate.

Our team rushed out and fought to free her—and thankfully, we did. But her fight wasn’t over. She was immediately taken to our vet for X-rays and emergency care for her injured leg.

Over the next few days, despite everything, her condition took a turn for the worse . Today, we received devastating news: her leg cannot be saved. The damage is too severe, and there is no longer enough circulation. The only way to save her life is amputation.

Tomorrow, she will undergo surgery at Houston Spay and Neuter.

She has already endured so much pain… but she is still here. Still fighting. And with your help, she has a chance to live a full, happy life—three legs and all. 💛

We are urgently asking for donations to cover her amputation surgery and the care she will need to heal. No amount is too small—every dollar helps us give her the second chance she deserves.

We want to give a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Tamika Spellman and Dr. Lucy Faulkner for allowing us to bring her in as an emergency visit, to Constable Flores from Precinct 5 for stepping in to help, and to Dr. Hanna at Houston Spay and Neuter for making room for her so quickly.

Please donate, share, and keep this sweet girl in your thoughts. She’s counting on all of us. 🐾
