Yesica Lemus, MA, LPC-S, Bo's Place Community Education Manager, recently completed the CenterPoint Energy Emerging Leaders Institute, 7th Cohort. This 6-month program is for aspiring leaders currently in mid-management positions. It is designed to help develop leadership potential by exploring unique leadership style, identifying strengths, enhancing personal impact, team-building abilities, community involvement, broadening professional network, and creating a personalized leadership plan.

For her final presentation, Yesica shared about promoting staff morale, including her role developing and co-leading the Bo’s Place "Good Times Committee" that was designed to promote unity and collaboration across teams, increase staff morale and engagement, and show appreciation for employees throughout the year. Yesica’s presentation was so well received. In fact, CenterPoint staff stated that they loved the themes and structure of our committee and they will take it back to their team to implement something similar!
