In Loving Memory of Chris Haug

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Chris Haug, our beloved Startup Grind Maryland Chapter Director.

Chris had a big, Texas-sized heart and a generosity of spirit that lit up every room—and every Zoom call—he was part of. He wasn’t just a leader; he was a mentor, a friend, and a true embodiment of what Startup Grind stands for: Give First, Make Friends, and Help Others.

From his passion for community building to his relentless support of fellow founders and dreamers, Chris made an impact that reached far beyond state lines. Whether he was hosting a local event or cheering someone on behind the scenes, his positivity and integrity left a lasting impression.

His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched.

Please join us in holding his family and loved ones in your thoughts during this time. We’ll share more soon on how our community can honor and celebrate Chris’s life.

Rest in peace, Chris. You truly made this world—and our community—better.
