We empower communities around the world to organise charitable events, inspired by the timeless example of Hussain.

Mission Statement:
Building compassionate communities worldwide, inspired by Hussain. Causes we support:
Poverty, disaster relief, environmental issues, blood donation and homelessness. Our goals:
We aim to tackle local issues pertaining to social injustice and inequality through volunteers on the ground, who seek to help the most needy and vulnerable in society. Our teams work with their local communities, and collaborate with other local charities, to help and empower those in need.

Who is Hussain empowers communities around the world to organise charitable events for the common good. We aim to inspire individuals through the timeless example of Hussain, and the values he stood for; those of justice and dignity. Who is Hussain is a global movement with representatives in over 60 cities worldwide. From helping the homeless and feeding the hungry, to donating blood to save lives, our global reps are united in their effort to inspire and bring positive change.

Some words of wisdom by an incredible individual we met this weekend 🤍🙏🏼
At our blood drive we were reminded that every small act counts! Meet our selfless donor who has dedicated her life to serving others since she was 16, and yesterday, at 62, she was the first donor at our Blood Drive inspired by Hussain Ibn Ali’s cause. Her story moved us to tears and we hope it inspires you too ❤️

The Houston community SHOWED UP to our first Summer of Service Initiative: Packing with a Purpose with Ansar Al-Hujjah!

35 volunteers of all ages came together on a Saturday afternoon and packed 200 essential care kits headed straight to a local women’s shelter in collaboration with An-Nisa. Our community raised $1,500+ in donations and supplies to make it all happen. Our biggest turnout yet and we could not be more proud 🌍

What made this day so special was not just the kits we packed but the community we built while doing it. Strangers became a team, kids and adults packed side by side and a group discussion circle reminded us all why we joined.

Thank you to every volunteer, donor and supporter because none of this would have happened without you.

Next stop August 1st 👀 🩸

Cowardice is attacking civilian infrastructure under the guise of self-defence.

Hospitals, water plants and schools have never hurt anybody.

1,400 years ago, Hussain ibn Ali and his family and friends were subjected to the worst possible treatment.

No water for three days in a barren, baking desert. Can you imagine?

The rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. This is something we’ve just seemed to accept.

Hussain ibn Ali was vehemently against a system that discriminates against others.

And he ultimately gave his life in an effort to reform the corrupt systems of his time.

Hussain ibn Ali’s family faced the harshest suffering when they were forced to migrate far away from their home, while shackled like prisoners.

Their only crime was resisting evil.

The biggest scandal this century, or possibly ever, hit our screens this year - and the world acts as if nothing has happened.

The sheer impunity enjoyed by some should frighten you.

People in power have free rein to do whatever they want.

The regime hellbent on bullying Hussain ibn Ali took all measures to stamp their authority in a way never seen before.

Still, Hussain prevailed.
