Last week we had the privilege of welcoming medical students for McGovern PLUS Day of Service! The students spent time learning all about Casa de Esperanza, gaining deeper insight into the communities we support and how they can better serve vulnerable children and families when they become physicians. They helped us tremendously by organizing our pantry shelves to keep our neighborhood stocked and prepared.

Last week we had the privilege of welcoming medical students for McGovern PLUS Day of Service! Last week, we held our annual Back to School event for our Aftercare families. It was absolutely wonderful to spend time with some of our families and wish the kids a happy school year!

Thanks to our generous donors, every student went home equipped with backpacks and school supplies to start the year with confidence. This year, we were also excited to offer a special Lunch & Learn session for parents on supporting their children's growth this school year.

While parents connected and learned, the kids had a blast exploring activity stations—complete with a refreshing lemonade stand provided by the National Charity League (NCL), snow cones, jumbo Jenga, co****le, and plenty of prizes!

Thank you to everyone who helped us wrap our Aftercare families in care as we head into a bright new school year.
