Thank you crawfish festival 2022 for having us as one of your main performances! We had a blast showing you what vovinam is and sharing the culture with you all! Another congratulations to our longtime instructors Michael and Dustin on being a few more steps away from being future masters of Vovinam! Instructor Michael is now our newest and third senior instructor with yellow belt 2nd degree and Instructor Dustin is now our very first Assistant Master with yellow belt 3rd degree! These two instructors dedicated over 10 years of their life being in Vovinam and keep on pushing themselves to become greater for themselves and especially our own students! They received one of the highest honors at this test by having Senior Master Lien Huu Ngo tying their new belts on them.

These 5 practitioners have studied very hard and long to receive these belts. We are grateful for their commitment, time, and all their efforts to Vovinam itself and to our school!

A Vovinam student’s very first yellow belt test is one of the most grueling, enduring, and straining things they can experience. However, this is to prove their commitment to the martial art and most importantly, themselves. Once a student is a yellow belt, the journey only gets more difficult as they learn how to use weapons, more techniques, how to teach, and more philosophy.
