A Houston firefighter is in the fight of his life and needs our support.

Josh Elliott has been diagnosed with stage-3 bladder cancer.

Friends, family and fellow firefighters are hosting a fundraiser Friday, June 27, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Pearland High School South. The event will include food, a silent auction, a car show, vendors, a DJ and family fun.

Please come out, donate if you can and help us show Josh and his family the strength of the fire family.

Meet Bee and Nellie — Ignitable Liquid Detection K9s with the HFD Arson Division. 🐾

We were honored to photograph these four-legged first responders as part of our Houston Fire Department Yearbook Project. These K9s play a critical role in fire investigations, and their service deserves the same recognition and respect as every firefighter we feature.

Yearbooks will be available later this year.
