Sam Houston Area Council Boy Scouts of America Troop Meetings are Tuesdays at 7:00 PM at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church.The Troop camps at least once a month at a variety of locations around the State of Texas. Troop 573 also attends Sam Houston Area Council's annual Winter Camp as well as one out-of-state Summer Camp.

Troop 573 had an unforgettable weekend camping at Lockhart State Park in Lockhart—the Barbecue Capital of Texas! We explored the park, hiked the trails, and even managed to dodge a little rain along the way.

We wrapped up the trip with a stroll through downtown and a well-earned meal at the famous Terry Black’s. Great adventures, great food, and even better memories!

A scout is Helpful! The scouts helped the Arts & Environment ministry to set up 100+ flowers and plants at the altar and the narthex of the church. The scouts got to see all the work that goes into preparing by the sacred space for worship. They also helped to clean up the space afterwards.

Troop 573 is excited to welcome seven new Scouts during this crossover season! One Scout from Pack 537 (Thomas) joined us on February 25, and tonight we are proud to welcome six more from Pack 438 (Adrian, Vincent, Wyatt, Yuvran, Yuvraj, and Lucas).
