In keeping with our long tradition of offering a platform to our classically trained members who are subscription holders, IMS is once again opening our stage after almost 2 years of lull due to the pandemic.

This performance series is broken down to three sessions on November 13, December 4 and 11. We are excited to hear the showcase of talent from our members who will present 30 - 45 minutes singing the traditional khayal and short bhajan, tumri, dadra, etc. with full accompaniments of tabla and harmonium by IMS Members. The program will streamed live from Anjali Center on IMS You Tube and it is a FREE program.

Happy New Year to you all! Our 2021 is sure to start off great with the music of Raghunandan Panshikar - tomorrow! UPDATE!!!
We are happy to inform you that we will begin the 2021 season with a Live Telecast of Hindustani Vocal from Pune by PT. Raghunandan Panshikar Ji (Senior Disciple of Padma Vibhushan Late Kishori Amonkar Ji) on January 2, 2021 at 8 AM CST with Bharat Kamath on Tabla and Suyog Kundalkar on Harmonium.
The change in timing of the concert is due to nighttime curfew in Maharashtra. However, Shadaj will keep the URL open all day for those who miss the concert due to the early start.

In addition, we have (tentatively) planned to host Live Digitally the following artists - both younger generation as well as seasoned veterans who are legends in their own rights:

- PT. Ulhas Kasahlkar JI (Vocal)
- PT. Budhaditya Mukharjee (Sitar)
- Smt. Apoorva Gokhale (Disciple of PT. Gajananbua Joshi)
- Sri Ramakant Gaikwad
- Sri Prasad Khaparde (Disciple of Ustaad Rashid Khan)
- Our own Local Artists who are Paid Members
- Children's Ghar Baithak (Children of IMS Paid Members)

We need you and we need your Membership. IMS Board has unanimously voted to reduce the annual membership to $100 from the current $200 for the entire family for 2021 Season. Individual tickets will be priced at $20 per person.

Please go on line: www.imshouston.org and sign up for annual membership as soon as possible as the 2021 season opening concert will be on January 2, 2021 at 9 AM CST.
We have also added the ability to pay by Zelle. Payments can be made to IMS Houston via our email address [email protected].

Due to the recent surge in COVID cases, the IMS Board has decided to postpone our upcoming online event featuring some of the top Houston artists to a convenient date in spring, 2021. The safety and well being of our artists and audio/video crew members are of utmost importance to IMS. Please know that this program will be telecast Live when the COVID situation improves.

At the same time time, we are happy to announce that under heavy public demand, we are bringing back Pt. Venkatesh Kumar Ji for a LIVE online concert of Night Ragas.
