It is with great sadness we share this story.. The Forge for Families (wonderful folks who generously allowed us to use their gym for Help Portrait the last two years) have lost one of their own. On September 15th, HISD Furr student, Janecia Chatman, 14 years old, died in the school bus accident off of 610 and Telephone in Houston. Happy Monday Help Portrait Houston!

Help Portrait is tomorrow! 😁

All volunteers who can make it, please arrive by 9am if you have a set up to put together! All other volunteers please arrive by 9:30am so we can all take a photo together & go over the flow for the day!

Happy Monday! Can you believe Help Portrait is in just 5 days?!

Things are coming together very well! We have multiple set ups, paper, printers/ink.. just about everything we need. (Could always use frames, more food/drinks!)

The one thing we're missing is make up artists & hair stylists! It's always fun to see some of the guests get all dolled up! So please, if you know of anyone who can spare even a few hours to come help, spread the word!

Hello everyone! I do greatly apologize for not getting back to you all sooner, but we are definitely set for December 6th, 2014 at Forge For Families! Time: 9am-5pm

I did send out a few emails to those I heard back from in regards to what we still need. If you are interested in helping, please let me know what equipment or items you have available to contribute. We still need multiple set ups, 8x10 paper, frames, and snacks! Also- a huge need for make up/hair stylists! To my knowledge, we only have one at the moment.

So please share with anyone and everyone! We're looking to make this a wonderful Holiday season for these families!

Great news everyone! We have one location set for Dec 6th! Possibly a second as well- will know more information by the end of next week!

I'll send out a list by next week of what we equipment & supplies we already have along with what we need. I'd also like to get a list of volunteers going! Please email [email protected] or comment below with your email so I can keep you updated on the details!

December 6th is quickly approaching!

Are there any suggestions on where to plan Help Portrait Houston this year? Would love to hear any thoughts and ideas!
