Steps you can take to mitigate your breast cancer risk according to Dr. Polly Niravath of the Houston Methodist Cancer Center. The fourth step is to choose to breastfeed. New mothers should choose to breastfeed if they are able. Evidence suggests that breastfeeding reduces a woman's risk of developing breast cancer, the reasons of which are not clear. But one possible explanation is that women who breastfeed have less exposure to estrogen. Check back tomorrow for the next step.
