What a ride! The 22nd annual CHRISTUS Nun Run brought our community together for an incredible day, raising more than $83,000 to support CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare and the CHRISTUS School Clinics.

With 210 motorcycle riders and 327 total participants, this year’s event showed what can happen when a community rallies behind a great cause.

A special thank you to presenting sponsor Stellar Bank and all our generous sponsors, riders, participants and supporters who helped make the Nun Run a success. Funds raised help provide health care, immunizations and mental health counseling to students in underserved Houston communities.

In addition to the day-to-day care of students through CHRISTUS School Clinics, team members are also crucial in providing trainings to school associates when necessary. At Holy Ghost Catholic School, a 12-year-old student was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Needing a dose of insulin before lunch, one of the student’s parents was leaving work every day to come and administer it. Fabiola Piedra, the medical assistant at the school, together with her teammates trained a set group of teachers and administrators to step in for the parents. Read more about the impact of this training.
