We’re hiring! Join EMERGE as our Vice President of Development

EMERGE is entering an exciting new chapter, and we’re looking for a Vice President of Development to lead our fundraising strategy and help scale our national impact. This senior executive will partner closely with our CEO, cultivate and close major gifts, and lead a growing development team as we work toward a $5M+ annual fundraising goal.

This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a high-impact development function at an organization supporting high‑achieving students from low‑income communities to access and succeed at the nation’s most selective colleges.

If you’re a hands-on fundraiser who thrives in a growth-oriented environment and believes in the power of educational equity, we’d love to hear from you.

During EMERGE’s 3rd Annual Externship Week, seniors stepped beyond the classroom and into real-world professional environments across Houston.

From energy and finance to healthcare, law, and social impact, students gained firsthand insight into career pathways through site visits, job shadowing, and virtual sessions during their spring break, March 10–20.

We are grateful to the organizations that opened their doors and shared their expertise, including Baker Hughes, Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine, the ACLU, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Woodside Energy, and the Federal Courthouse.

Experiences like these help students connect their academic journeys to future possibilities while building confidence, professional networks, and clarity about their goals.

Thank you to the professionals who invested their time and mentorship to help shape the next generation of leaders.
