Join us in celebrating Houston's diversity through the arts! The Indo-American Association (IAA) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1993, is Houston’s longest running arts organization to preserve and promote the performing arts of the Indian sub-continent. IAA's mission is to present a broad range of entertainment and educational arts programs in order to preserve the cultural heri
tage for future generations and enrich quality and diversity of life in the Houston community. For 29 years, IAA has provided a platform for both world-renowned as well as emerging artists at Houston's finest art venues. IAA presents a thoughtfully curated season of 8-10 concerts and shows each year. The season line-up includes a blend of art disciplines of India - music, dance, and theatre. At the same time, cross-cultural collaborations between artists from India, US and other countries are showcased and the events attract large multi-cultural audiences. IAA today is regarded as a leading cultural arts organization presenting world-class talent in Houston and other North American cities. Over the years, IAA has built a reputation of fostering the appreciation of performing arts within diverse Houston communities and now in the virtual world. In 2020 and 2021, with the cancellation of the entire season, IAA Houston launched a robust digital platform and hosted more than 150+ virtual performances and productions. IAA receives grant funding from the Texas Commission on the Arts, the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance, and BIPOC Arts Network Fund. Additional support comes from corporate and individual sponsors, patrons and season subscribers, and supporters who buy tickets to individual events.
