The Indiana State Rifle & Pistol Association is the state-level chapter of the National Rifle Association. Chartered in 1966, the ISRPA was formed to promote shooting sports activities, NRA membership growth and the preservation of the Constitutional 2nd Amendment rights of the residents of the state of Indiana. Historically, the ISRPA has been visibly active in state and local government legislat

ion policy, promoting the ideas and beliefs of its membership and the National Rifle Association. The ISRPA has also been involved in many community and youth development programs throughout the state. Numerous well-known philanthropic organizations have awarded formal recognition to the ISRPA for its efforts. Today, with an active membership of over 1,000 and affiliations with more than 25 local clubs, the ISRPA supports sportsmen and women in virtually every discipline of the shooting sports. to one of Indiana’s most recognizable competitive shooting families — “Team Beaver.”

Over 24 years, FOUR members of the Beaver family earned their Distinguished Rifleman Badges:
🏅 Philip Beaver — 2006
🏅 Matthew Beaver — 2014
🏅 Andrew Beaver — 2024
🏅 Meghann Beaver — 2025

The article mentions State Championships, Junior Championships, Camp Perry appearances, and even National Records… which got us thinking 👀

Drop your guesses in the comments!
❓ How many State Championships did Team Beaver win?
❓ How many Junior titles?
❓ What National Records were set?
❓ What’s your favorite memory of seeing them compete?

Indiana shooting sports history is built by families, volunteers, competitors, and the community that supports them — and we’d love to hear your stories! Send us DM if you want featured throughout out Throwback Thursday series!

Today, we remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Their courage, dedication, and love for this nation will never be forgotten. As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we also pause to honor those who gave everything to protect the freedoms we hold dear.

Climb aboard the Wayback Machine with ISRPA for Throwback Thursday!

For 60 years, the Indiana State Rifle & Pistol Association has been on the forefront of Indiana Shooting Sports, hosting matches, competing, supporting Champions!

For 37 years that legacy of marksmanship, competition, education, and Second Amendment advocacy across Indiana was documented in the pages of the Indiana Shooting Sports News quarterly magazine.

All that history is now being brought back to life. From archived match results to decades of stories, photos, and accomplishments— all those decades of ISRPA history that showcase the people and moments that helped shape the association into what it is today have been digitized and are being made available on the ISRPA website!

The ISRPA “60 Years Strong” campaign will celebrate those memories, milestones, and the members who made them possible. The ISRPA Hall of Fame will be featured at the Family Day on the Range event October 3, 2026 at the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association faclities in Friendship Indiana!

We need YOUR help!
🏆 Are you part of ISRPA Hall of Fame history? Your Dad, Grandpa, maybe your Grandma?
Whether you competed, volunteered, coached, served, or supported along the way — tell us YOUR story! You may find yourself - maybe your whole family - in the ISRPA Hall of Fame!
