SW Houston Chapter San Jacinto High Rollers have a stacked weekend coming in hot.

Saturdays, May 30th
Road Captain .357 already has the route dialed in
— wanna roll? Drop “Details” below.

We’re riding out to J&C Supper Club to support our Livingston Chapter for Rollin' for Kids benefiting Texas Lions Camp.

And this ain’t just any ride… it’s a Birthday Ride for our Road Lieutenant Fire‑Dawg. Scenic cruise up, quicker rip back to Katy, then straight into birthday chaos at The Wellhead.

While you’re at it — if you’ve ever been curious about the High Rollers S.W. Houston Chapter, come meet the crew. We’re friendly, loud, loyal, and not hard to find.

Monthly Business Meeting
When: 1st Sunday of the month,
June 7th @ 12 PM
Where: Bootleggers Bar
11300 West Road, Houston, TX 77065
(Occasional ride‑meeting updates posted as needed.)

So what’s your move…
Rolling with us?
Supporting Rollin’ for Kids?
Showing up for Fire‑Dawg’s birthday bash?
Or checking out what the High Rollers are all about?

LET’S ROLL.
Hope to see y’all in any capacity.

We are so thrilled and excited to hear this amazing news this morning!!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

News Release #12: The Storm After the Storm; TLC is LICENSED for the Summer of 2026!!!

A statement from the President & CEO of Texas Lions Camp, Inc.

Kerrville, Texas. [May 19, 2026] — This just in: TLC has been Licensed by DSHS for the Summer of 2026! The staff and I have been working since September of last year for today's arrival of this exciting and mission critical news.

I want to thank members of my stellar executive team, namely, Steven King - SVP, Karen-Anne King - VP of Summer Camps, and Ken Folsom-Director of Maintenance, without whose expert intervention, this news release might have come later or be announcing something very different altogether.

Thank you to the staff of Texas Lions Camp, all of whom have made contributions under tight timeframes and high stakes while having an occupied boss. I would be remiss if I did not also thank our camper families and many constituents for your patience and voiced support during these unprecedented events.

Lastly, I want to thank DSHS and their staff for so diligently working to review, comment on and respond to our application. To the Office of Emergency Management, to the State Fire Marshall, to our local Fire Marshall Jason Lackey as well as the many vendors answering our call for assistance (who I will highlight in a separate release regarding upgrades to the facility).

Celebrate quickly, because we open the season in less than two weeks with our first session on Sunday, May 31, 2026. Welcome to TLC!

Sincerely yours,

Stephen S. Mabry, President & CEO
Texas Lions Camp, Inc.

Pull up. Eat. Support the chapter. Or sit at home eating ramen wondering where everybody’s at.

Texas Lions Camp still waiting for action on their application. We are standing by waiting to hear from DSHS...Hoping this week brings good news.

A state roster of licensed youth camps dated May 15 shows 316 camps appearing in the system statewide. Of those, just 47 — roughly 15% — hold active "Current" licenses. Another 212 have applications pending, and 57 have no application on file at all.
