There are moments when the mission of FOCUS feels especially tangible—when people, stories, and a shared commitment to serve come together. 💙

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who joined us at the recent appreciation event at FOCUS Houston for an evening of fellowship, gratitude, and reflection on the mothers, children, and community that make this ministry so meaningful. Gathering around the table was a reminder that this work is about more than meeting material needs—it’s about offering presence, dignity, and love.

Because of your support, this ministry continues to grow. Recurring donations and gifts of diapers, wipes, pull-ups, and hygiene products make a real difference for the families we serve each day.

What if no mother had to walk alone? 💙

FOCUS Houston began with a simple conviction: there is a growing need to support mothers—not just with resources, but with real connection.

Mothers may come for diapers and essentials, but what they find is something deeper: support, understanding, and community. Through partnerships with counselors, pediatricians, and therapists, FOCUS Houston offers holistic care—meeting moms where they are and walking alongside them.

At its heart, this ministry is about presence. A place to drink coffee, laugh, and be known—the kind of hospitality that reflects Christ’s love.

Because motherhood can be isolating. But here, it doesn’t have to be. ☦️

We’re grateful to serve as a host site for a meaningful community initiative in partnership with researchers at Rice University. 💙

Through this project, researchers have been meeting with some of our pregnant and postpartum moms—offering health screenings and confidential, one-on-one conversations that help elevate their voices and better understand how to support their needs.

It’s been a joy to partner with such a dedicated team, and to create space where our moms feel heard, cared for, and valued. Hospitality is at the heart of what we do at FOCUS, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to live that out in this way! ☦️

We’re so grateful for a fun and lively Serve Day at FOCUS Houston this past Saturday! 💛

The Saint Constantine School's Future Business Leaders of America team helped organize the playroom and The Nest Boutique, while new friends Caleb and Kathleen of Saints Constantine & Helen Serbian Orthodox Church tackled the entire storage room. Isabel also provided incredible support with computer work and data entry.

Meanwhile, our moms had a chance to rest and shop for clothing for their little ones. And to top it off, a new friend, Zella, baked homemade banana bread and cookies for every mom who visited! 🍪

From children to adults, the space was full of laughter all morning. We’re so thankful for this work and for the Lord’s kindness in bringing such a beautiful community together. ☦

FOCUS Houston was honored to host a table at the March of Dimes fair for moms in the Gulfton–Sharpstown area we serve. 💙

It was a meaningful opportunity to meet new mothers, build relationships, and connect families with local resources. We’re grateful to March of Dimes for inviting us, hosting the event, and generously providing diapers, wipes, and essential items for our families.

A special thank you to Isabel, one of our volunteers, for supporting our team and creating a helpful resource to guide moms through diaper costs, local support, and ways to get connected to our ministry! ✨

We are so grateful to the ladies of the Order of St. Jael at Saint Constantine College for the joy, generosity, and energy they bring every time they serve. ✨🙌

Their Orthodox faith and heart for service truly bless our community, and it shows in the care they put into organizing clothes and diapers for our moms. They make a meaningful impact every visit, and we always share plenty of laughter along the way!

We especially loved the thoughtful, handmade gifts they created in preparation for Mother’s Day—beautiful reminders to our moms that they are seen, valued, and celebrated. 💓

Their guidance equipped families with the knowledge and confidence to better protect their children on the road, and their hands-on help installing six car seats ensured each one was properly secured.
