Our front door is the first stop on the road to a new life for youth ages 18-24 experiencing homelessness.

Since 1983, Covenant House Texas remains the only organization in Texas providing an extensive continuum of care to youth experiencing homelessness including mental health and substance abuse counseling, educational and vocational training, transitional and permanent living programs, street outreach and prevention, pastoral ministry and parenting classes in addition to providing the basic necessities of food, clothing, medical care and safe shelter from the streets.

Princess Jackson, founder of Sock Out Poverty, recently spent the day with our youth, sharing her inspiring story of giving back and encouraging others to make a difference in their communities. 💙

Her journey has taken her all the way to the Steve Harvey Show, but this Saturday was all about connecting with our young people.

After sharing her story, Princess brought the fun with bingo, prizes, and snacks for our residents. 🎉

Covenant House Texas is looking for volunteers to support the Guts + Glory Corporate Obstacle Challenge on Saturday, September 26 at the Rice University Waltrip Indoor Training Facility. Starting at 3pm.

Volunteer opportunities include:
• Event setup and breakdown
• Participant registration and check-in
• Obstacle and course support
• Hospitality and team assistance
• General event logistics

Can’t volunteer? You can still help by donating individually packaged snacks, granola or protein bars, bananas, and other refreshments to keep participants and volunteers fueled.

On Thursday, November 19, 2026, community and business leaders will come together for Covenant House Texas Sleep Out: Executive Edition, with Houston Astros pitcher Josh Hader serving as Honorary Chair.

For one night, Sleepers give up their beds in solidarity with youth facing homelessness while raising critical funds to help provide shelter, sanctuary, and support.
