HUGE PRAISE REPORT
Acres of Love International and its esteemed board members are overjoyed to announce a monumental milestone— the purchase of our first farmland abroad! We have acquired 1.4 acres of fertile farmland in the village of Kiwungu, located in the district of Busoga, in the region of Kamuli, Uganda. What an extraordinary blessing and testament to God’s faithfulness! We couldn’t wait to share this incredible news with you.
A Look Back at God's Perfect Plan
In 2023, during a two-week mission trip to Busoga/Kamuli, Uganda, we met Pastor David Balabyekubo in what can only be described as a divine appointment orchestrated by God. The story of how our paths crossed and how our bond grew in fellowship is a testimony to His perfect timing—one we hope to share in more detail someday, perhaps even in a book! There’s no doubt that God brought Pastor David into our lives, and us into his, to grow His Kingdom.
After Acres of Love International (AOLI) was formed in 2023, our first mission was to partner with Pastor David and his private Christian school, Divine Wisdom Junior School. We began by sponsoring 38 orphaned children, enabling them to attend school—something they otherwise would not have been able to afford. This sponsorship provided these children with a Christian-based English education, medical care, three daily meals, school uniforms, shoes, and school supplies. Over the past year, we witnessed God’s blessings unfold as these children thrived academically, physically, and spiritually. Their smiles, energy, and hope grew before our very eyes, thanks to your generous support.
A New Chapter: The Farmland Miracle
Fast forward to the end of 2024, when we received a generous, God-inspired donation specifically for purchasing farmland for Divine Wisdom Junior School. This donation was yet another divine intervention. The school’s farming curriculum has always been limited to theoretical knowledge due to the lack of farmland for practical application. We knew this was our chance to change that.
The story of acquiring this farmland is yet another display of God’s hand at work. For over three years, Pastor David had tried unsuccessfully to purchase this specific piece of fertile land near the school. The owner, who wasn’t actively using it, consistently refused to sell. But in an unexpected turn of events, the owner, facing legal troubles, agreed to sell it—at the exact amount that had been donated to us! What the enemy meant for harm, God turned into an opportunity for good. Today, Divine Wisdom Junior School is the proud owner of 1.4 acres of fertile farmland, located right next door to the school. Praise the Lord!
Looking Ahead: Planting Seeds of Hope
In March 2025, Acres of Love International will deepen our commitment to this mission. The students and adults will prepare the land for planting, and we are committed to providing the tools they need for success. This includes 140 banana saplings for a banana plantation, farming tools, wheelbarrows, baskets, and vegetable seeds. This initiative will provide invaluable hands-on farming education to the children, equipping them with skills to break the cycle of hunger and poverty in their community. The harvest will not only support Divine Wisdom Junior School but also the two orphanages Pastor David oversees, housing 100 boys and 100 girls.
