When community partners come together, the impact can reach far beyond a single day. đź’™

In celebration of Lilly’s 150th anniversary, Eli Lilly and Company volunteers joined United Way of Greater Houston and HAAM for Lilly’s Global Day of Service. The charitable event was part of a nationwide Lilly initiative supporting 15 communities across the country.

Through charitable support from Eli Lilly and Company to United Way Worldwide, United Way of Greater Houston was able to work alongside HAAM to help provide nutritious food to local families. Together, Lilly volunteers helped distribute approximately 8,200 pounds of food, providing 200 families with about 41 pounds each of nutritious items including fresh fruits, vegetables and protein.

Nutritious food is a critical building block for lifelong health. It supports healthy child development and helps older adults live healthier, more independent lives.

The impact will continue throughout the year. HAAM was also one of just 15 organizations in Houston selected to receive a HATCH refrigerated unit, expanding its cold-storage capacity and helping the organization safely provide more fresh food to families across the community.

Lilly’s support of United Way’s nutritious food program demonstrates a shared commitment to bridging gaps in food access. Together, we’re creating more opportunity, preserving dignity and helping build pathways to better health across Greater Houston.

United Way of Greater Houston today announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Amanda McMillian will retire effective May 1, 2027. As we celebrate Amanda’s impact and prepare for this next chapter, the United Way Board of Trustees has unanimously selected Dr. Angel Harris to succeed Amanda as President and CEO. Effective immediately, Angel will serve as President and Chief Advancement Officer, while Amanda will retain the role of CEO through her retirement in May 2027.

ExxonMobil went “All In” for Greater Houston. 💙 This month, employees gathered at the ExxonMobil Houston campus to kick off the 2026 Annual Giving Campaign and see the impact of their support firsthand.

Through our Path to Possibility experience, employees learned how United Way of Greater Houston's Integrated Client Journey helps connect neighbors to the right resources, navigate challenges, and build a path toward financial stability. They also rolled up their sleeves to pack essential supplies for neighbors across our community.

Last year alone, ExxonMobil employees' generosity helped us reach more than 174,000 Greater Houston neighbors, connecting people to resources and opportunities that support stronger, more sustainable futures.

We're grateful for ExxonMobil's longstanding partnership and for every employee who went “All In” to help our neighbors land on their feet -- and stay there. 💙
