Lucy Bacon Walsh, aka Goose, our Paws and Patios inspiration and Chief Treat Officer, crossed the rainbow bridge. She was surrounded by love.

While there may be changes to Paws and Patios coming up, I intend to keep it going as part of Pat and Goose’s legacy.

In a move sure to please some and upset others: the Texas senate has approved a bill that would allow dogs at restaurants.

Goose, Julian and I are very sad to announce that Pat, the founder and champion of Paws on Patios, died last Friday at our home.

Pat started Paws on Patios on a day when Goose got kicked off a patio and he realized that dogs should come hang out with us too.

Pat designed the sketch that you see at many places showing him and Goose. Please take your pup to a local restaurant or bar and toast to Pat.

Seven years ago, our hero Lucy sparked a movement when she was booted off the patio of Empire Cafe. I'm excited to announce that Empire received its official doggie permit from the City today! Yeah! My, how things come full circle. :)
