Concord Bridge Hurricane Relief

Concord Bridge Hurricane Relief We are organizing volunteers and distribution of resources and materials for those in need in the Concord Bridge Community.

This is neighbors helping neighbors and has no association with the HOA. Let's come together as a community and rebuild.

Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM) wants to assist with Christmas toys/gifts for your children as well as with food. Copperfield Church reached out to them for us. Thanks so much, Copperfield Church!

CAM is located at 11202 Huffmeister. Their Case Managers can also refer you to other agencies that are serving that zip code(77041) for Hurricane Harvey relief.

Here is what you will need to do (per CAM):

• Each family must bring photo ID, proof of address, and information regarding the number of people in the family and number of children.
• Each family must come to CAM no later than December 15th to register for Christmas gifts and Christmas food.
• This week, CAM has walk-in hours from 9am – 3pm on Tuesday (12/12) and from 9am – 1pm on Thursday, 12/14. No appointment is necessary during these times.
• If the hours above do not work for them, they can call us at 281-955-7684 and make an appointment. Since we normally do not serve that zip code (77041), they would need to clearly say they are referred by Copperfield Church. At this busy time of year, we have several different people answering the phone and I want to make sure they do not get turned away.

Distribution of toys/gifts starts on Tuesday, December 19th. When the family gets here to register, our Case Managers will explain how it works and get them set up to come in the following week to receive the gifts for which they registered.

Here's a KGNS-TV story on Texas trailers, one of the temporary housing options being offered in some areas for Harvey recovery. If you're interested in mobile housing units or travel trailers and you've already registered with FEMA, you should call the FEMA Help Line to find out what short and long-term housing programs are available in your area. Be sure and have your registration number ready when you call. The Help Line number is 800-621-3362 (voice, 711 or VRS) or 800-462-7585 (TTY). If you haven't yet registered for FEMA assistance, you have until November 30th. Call the FEMA Help Line for more information, also at the number above.

For many families who lost everything due to Hurricane Harvey, this Thanksgiving will be difficult.

Giving Thanks
Our neighbors on Klamath Falls Dr., Central Falls, Angel Falls and Cape Hatteras are still not back in their homes (just like alot of other folks in our area). Many are working just to get one or two rooms liveable so they can come home. If you would like to share some Thanksgiving good will, even a hug goes a long way! We all have so much to be thankful for - wonderful neighbors and a community that came together to love and support one another when we needed it the most. Hug your families and help where you can. Thank you Concord Bridge Hurricane Relief!!!

For those that lost photos during Harvey this might be something to look into.

The free service is accepting appointments to submit photographs -- that were damaged by recent flooding -- to be restored. Appointments are required for the event, Dec. 9-10.

Keep your eyes out. My mom was walking in our house after work when an african american male approached her screaming with an unknown weapon in his hand. She ran inside screaming and i opened the door and the man took off. He's late teens early 20s wearing all black leaving in a black sedan. We're currently making a police report but i thought i'd let neighbors know.
