Thank you to those that participated in Swim1922, our signature community service initiative by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
in partnership with USA Swimming. 🏊🏽‍♀️ 🥽

Swim 1922 was launched to reduce drowning disparities, it provides water safety education and swim instruction to communities of color, particularly focusing on youth. The program was established to address the critical statistics surrounding swimming and water safety in the U.S. 💙💛

Through hands-on water safety clinics and beginner swim lessons, the campaign teaches swimming as a vital survival skill while promoting the sport competitively. 🩱

National Reach: Since its inception, the program has reached over 100,000 children and adults nationwide. Swimming 🏊🏼‍♂️

📣 We are honored to announce the beginning of a jubilee celebration, marking a significant milestone - the day Roberta and Geraldine were inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Philo Affiliates, under the Gamma Sigma Alumnae Chapter
on July 11, 1976. In the aftermath of a leadership transition, their affiliate advisor, Mrs. Geraldine Jones, thoughtfully orchestrated this tribute to celebrate this enduring commitment. Fifty years have elapsed since Roberta and Geraldine became dedicated to the Philo Affiliates Organization, persistently demonstrating unshakeable devotion through continuous service and collaboration on community projects worldwide, alongside friends united by a shared vision. 🤍💛💙

As we prepare to close the 2025–2026 Sorority Year, our hearts are full and overflowing with gratitude. 🫶🏾

The Gamma Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. showed up BOUNDLESSLY! From impactful community service projects and purpose-driven programs, to productive chapter meetings and those meaningful moments where we simply paused to check in on one another, this year reminded us of the true power of sisterhood. Every effort, every laugh, every hand extended in service strengthened our bond and reaffirmed our commitment to GREATER SERVICE, GREATER PROGRESS. 🐩

We ended this incredible year in the most phenomenal way, by hosting the Swim 1922 National Programs Event at Gigglin Marlin Dive and Swim1922 Swim Clinic in Houston. What a powerful and meaningful way to end the year: centered on service, safety, impact, and legacy. 🏊🏽‍♀️

To every Soror who poured her time, talent, and treasure into this year, we thank you. To our community partners and supporters, we thank you. Gamma Sigma will continue to be a chapter rooted in love, excellence, and intentional sisterhood. 💛💙

It reminds believers that each new day is a purposeful gift from God. Instead of focusing on circumstances, stress, or worries about the past and future, it encourages choosing joy, celebrating God's presence, and finding contentment in the present moment.💙💛

🧠 NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness. It’s the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. Members of the chapter participated in the NAMI Walk in Houston. 🏃🏾‍♀️‍➡️
NAMI is dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Their Alliance includes more than 650 NAMI State Organizations and Affiliates who work in your community to raise awareness and provide support and education to those in need.💙💛
