Congratulations, A.D. Robinson! Welcome to H-Town! Wishing you continued success and all the best as you begin this new chapter.

Jackson State University congratulates Vice President and Director of Athletics Ashley Robinson on his appointment as Vice President and Director of Athletics at Texas Southern University.

During his eight years at JSU, Robinson helped lead Jackson State Athletics to 32 conference championships, two national championships, and the 2025–26 Dr. James Frank Commissioner’s Cup while increasing the program’s national visibility.

We thank Ashley for his service to our student-athletes and Tiger Nation and wish him and his family continued success.

It was wonderful to see alumni from so many HBCUs coming together to celebrate our shared history, traditions, and commitment to excellence. From reconnecting with old friends to making new connections, the day was filled with great conversations, laughter, delicious food, and plenty of school pride.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all of the volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and everyone who helped make this such a memorable event. And we definitely look forward to continuing to build community, celebrating the HBCU legacy, and creating opportunities for alumni across the Houston area to connect and serve together!!💙🤍 🐅

Yesterday’s Jackson State University Houston Area Alumni Chapter Student Send-Off was a wonderful reminder of what it means to be part of the JSU family.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the alumni, supporters, students, and families who came out to celebrate and encourage our incoming Tigers as they prepare to begin this exciting new chapter. Your presence, words of wisdom, and unwavering support made the day truly special.

A very special thank you to our 2nd Vice President, Clell McCurdy, for organizing such an amazing event. Your dedication to student recruitment and your commitment to ensuring our future Tigers feel welcomed and supported is deeply appreciated. Your hard work and leadership helped make this event a tremendous success.

We also want to extend our sincere appreciation to the JCS Project for their generous donation of snack boxes for our students.

As our students prepare to head to Jackson State University this fall, we wish each of them success, growth, and an unforgettable college experience.
