Thanks for sharing Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance! Happy to have been a part of this workshop with you all.
In celebration of our 20-year partnership with the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), we are proud to share the next project highlight in our collaborative series, “20 Years, 20 Stories.”
In the fall of 2019, the National Park Service – Rivers, Trails Conservation Assistance program collaborated with the Houston/Gulf Coast Section of the Texas ASLA to organize a two-day public design workshop to identify community ideas and generate feasible designs for North Beach Eco Park in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The National Park Service awarded the city a technical assistance grant to facilitate the planning process of a 30-acre eco and birding park that will expand outdoor recreation and education opportunities. Three park designs were developed from community feedback, resulting in a master plan for a park that will be home to healthy wetlands and wildlife, as well as trails, boardwalks and other amenities.
