The 2026 NRG show is history!
It was a very busy week - the first year the Club has done 2 Concurrent Specialties. It was pretty exhausting. But it did afford those with stamina the opportunity for majors until the last day. Exhibitors from Louisina, Oklahoma, Kansas, Tennessee, Indiana and Illinois were entered along with a healthy dose of Texans. Entries were up a bit over last year and Sweeps entries were way up! Congratulations to all of the winners - there were some awesome wins in the Breed ring, Group ring and OH Group ring.
At the annual Club meeting held on Thursday the Nominating Committee slate was elected.

Club members also voted to offer Award of Merit rosettes for 2027. I believe the Club follows ECSCA guidelines of 1 AOM for each 10 entries. I will check on that to be sure.
Addi P brought us up to date on research endeavors on Short toe/AIHA/Anal Sac carcinoma and X-linked PRA. None of these require contributions at this time as funding has been secured. She will let us know if that changes.
Sandy M gave us a Treasurers report and all is well. The NRG shows should be profitable but it will take a few weeks to sort the financials.
Many thanks to all who pitched in to make the shows run smoothly! Penny H was a Super Star - handling the Hospitality as well as spearheading the group that delivered trophies ringside. It does take a village to get it all to the ring!
We do need to secure one judge for 2027 before too long. Send your suggestions to Addi P for both Breed and Sweeps as soon as possible.
Connie H and Deb M have volunteered to do trophies for next year. Thank you to all that made donations this year. The donations help the Club defray the cost of the trophies.
