C.H.A.R.M. had an amazing day of basketball, fellowship, and ministry on Saturday at the Goree Unit.

Games were close with fierce competition, yet the fellowship was closer because of the love of Christ.

We had an amazing time of worship,
Some incredible testimonies, and teachings from CHARM residents and alumni.

We were challenged by the Word of God coming from John 20:24-29
to “Show me your Scars”

Thank you to all of our incredible volunteers and, the staff, and men of Goree for the hospitality and service.

What a powerful Saturday at the Holliday Unit.

We started the day on the basketball court and ended with a packed gym for worship, teaching, and testimony. CHARM graduate Joshua Witt and current resident Michael Emery shared their testimonies for the first time publicly, professing the redemption found only in Christ. Joshua and Michael both had to battle through nervousness about sharing but they pressed through, and trusted the Lord, God used their “yes” in an amazing way.

CHARM alumni Brian Townson brought the teaching from the Word of God.

Several men made decisions for the Lord or rededicated their lives to Christ.
Looking across a packed gym, it was clear that so many men are searching for hope.

CHRIST is that HOPE!!

We are grateful for what God continues to do behind prison walls and for every volunteer who helps us carry the Gospel inside.

Last weekend C.H.A.R.M. held its annual talent show at the Carole Young Medical Facility in Dickinson, TX. Not only was it hosted by C.H.A.R.M.'s volunteers, but also the AMAZING MC - Reyna Reyna from KSBJ!

The ladies in white displayed their God given talents to glorify Him.
We heard songs and jokes.
Our eyes even witnessed the splits performed during a dance performance to Kirk Franklin's " Stomp!"

The crowd went wild!!

Although you can't see their faces (per TDCJ rules)

You can only imagine from seeing ours what a time we all had!

So thankful we didn't have to judge

And that there is
Only One.

What a great day of fellowship Saturday. Even though the planned event in the prison was canceled, we didn’t let that stop us from gathering together in the name of Jesus.

We spent the day playing softball, laughing, encouraging one another, and enjoying the blessing of fellowship. It’s a reminder that the Church isn’t a building or an event—it’s God’s people coming together wherever we are.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made the day so special. We can’t wait for the next opportunity to come together in faith and fellowship!

Today, our nation celebrates freedom. Fireworks, flags, and families gathered together — all reminders of a gift we too often take for granted.

But at CHARM, we've learned that true freedom isn't just about where you are. It's about Who you belong to. We've watched men and women behind prison walls discover a freedom no sentence can take away — the freedom found only in Jesus Christ. And we've welcomed men home to our transitional houses who are walking in that freedom for the first time, one day at a time.

This Independence Day, we're celebrating the freedom that lasts forever.Who the Son sets free is free indeed. 🇺🇸

We are so thankful for the opportunity to serve and be a part of such a meaningful day of ministry at BYRD UNIT!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with incredible hospitality and genuine kindness. Everything was well-prepared and accessible, allowing us to focus on what mattered most.

The games were competitive and intense, but the fellowship was sweet and authentic. And the time spent in worship, testimony, teaching, and prayer was truly impactful.

We left encouraged, grateful, and already looking forward to the next opportunity to come back. If you’ve ever considered volunteering, we highly encourage you to get involved—you’ll be blessed by it!

Happy Father's Day from CHARM!

Today, we celebrate fathers, grandfathers, mentors, and spiritual fathers who faithfully love, lead, and point others toward Christ.

At CHARM, we have the privilege of witnessing the power of restoration every day. We see fathers reconnect with their children. We see broken relationships begin to heal. We see men discovering what it means to lead their families with humility, strength, and faith.

"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!"
1 John 3:1

Today we give thanks for the fathers who have shaped our lives, and we celebrate the God who never stops pursuing His children.

Behind prison walls today, men and women are encountering the life-changing power of the Gospel. 🕊️

They are sitting in Bible studies, opening Scripture, singing worship songs, and engaging in deep conversations with CHARM volunteers who look them in the eye and treat them with the dignity they deserve. Why? Because they matter to God.

Our in-prison ministry reaches incarcerated men and women in units across Texas. This vital work is driven by a simple, unwavering belief: the Gospel is for everyone,including, and maybe especially, those the world has forgotten.

CHARM exists to send hope into places most people never go. We are dedicated to bringing words of life to ears that have heard mostly condemnation, and showing up for people who have been told their whole lives that no one will.

The Lord is doing a mighty work behind the walls, and we are committed to continually sowing the seeds of faith, trusting Him for the harvest. 📖✨
