PROGRAMS: Through close collaboration with local law enforcement agencies and the citizens of Houston, CSOH has successfully solved over 33,000 felony cases and arrested nearly 25,000 felony fugitives through its 713-222-TIPS Tip Line Program. The program continues to be a national crime prevention model and strives to empower and motivate citizens to report crime. Additionally, Crime Stoppers’ Sa

fe Community Program works diligently to empower, educate, and engage the community in the important conversations about crime, public safety and the protection of society’s most vulnerable citizens. The program identifies and targets crime affecting the citizens of Houston and Harris County, and takes profound steps to prevent crime before it occurs. Since 1997, Crime Stoppers’ Safe School Program has been keeping Greater Houston Area school campuses safe by providing students with a safe and anonymous way to report crime and potential dangers on their campus and community. The program currently engages and educates students from kindergarten through high school in Greater Houston Area school campuses, including private and charter schools, as well as school staff, parents and school law enforcement. It has solved almost 2,000 school cases and removed 300 weapons from our schools. Crime Stoppers’ Fallen Hero Project protects, defends and gives back to the heroes who keep Houston safe. In the event that an officer or firefighter is injured or killed in the line of duty, as the result of felonious crime, Crime Stoppers’ anonymous cash reward of up to $5,000 will double to $10,000. FUNDRAISING EVENTS: Annual Awards Luncheon, Spring: The Annual Awards Luncheon serves as a fundraiser to support Crime Stoppers’ crime prevention programs, while honoring individuals and organizations who give exemplary service to make Houston a safer place to live, work, learn, and play. Each year, awards are presented to leaders in the crime prevention community. Annual Gala, Fall: The Crime Stoppers of Houston Annual Gala, the organization’s largest fundraising event of the year, celebrates the ongoing efforts of Crime Stoppers and the community members who support our mission to solve and prevent serious crime in the Greater Houston Area. In addition to a fabulous dinner, guests will enjoy live entertainment, music, and live and silent auctions. HEADQUARTER - Crime Stoppers of Houston is proud to operate out of the first Crime Stoppers headquarters in the nation. Our facility will be forever known as “The Dave Ward Building: Crime Stoppers of Houston”. Ultimately, it was Dave Ward who put Crime Stoppers of Houston in the national and international spotlight and to this day, he remains “The Voice of Crime Stoppers”. The headquarters will be built on our property at 3001 Main Street creating Houston’s First Public Safety and Crime Prevention Block. A mission-driven monument to crime prevention, this building will also be a highly efficient, secure hub for centralized operations, staff, volunteers, victims, law enforcement and media teams.
