What started as a dream with just three kids has grown into one of the most successful First Tee program locations in our chapter.
This weekend, FTGH and Houston Golf Association celebrated the completion of $250,000 in capital improvements at Quail Valley Golf Course, creating an enhanced practice facility for First Tee participants and the Missouri City community to enjoy for years to come!
This milestone wouldn't have been possible without the vision and dedication of Floyd and Linda Emery, Roger Dauzat, Viki Gregory, Doug and Ellen Earle, Allen Owen, the Quail Valley Ladies Golf Association, and so many generous supporters who came together to make this project a reality.
To celebrate, more than 100 participants, families, and volunteer coaches gathered at Quail Valley to see the completed upgrades, including a new pavilion, donor recognition signage, and other improvements that will benefit young people and local families for years to come.
As Claire Bey, President & CEO of Houston Golf Association and First Tee - Greater Houston, shared:
"Every dollar raised by people in the local community went directly toward strengthening recreation opportunities and quality green space for Missouri City kids and families. This project sets the standard for how nonprofits and local government can work together to maximize resources and create lasting impact."
