The Jung Center toured The Lighthouse of Houston this week, a non-profit dedicated to supporting and empowering blind and visually impaired individuals. We're so excited to continue working with them as we work to make our Center a more inclusive space. 💡

Happy National Non-Profit Day! This year, we want to put a spotlight on some of the incredible non-profits that have worked alongside The Jung Center.

From contributing to our art galleries and programs, to helping to spread the word about us, to providing services to our staff and community, we owe a great deal to these fantastic organizations. To our fellow non-profits, THANK YOU for all you do for the city of Houston and beyond.

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to take a tour of the gorgeous Ismaili Center () in Downtown Houston.

Opened in November 2025 and staffed almost entirely by volunteers, this center is the first of its kind in the United States, but one of many Ismaili Centers worldwide. From the stunning geometric architecture to the local Texan flora in the gardens, every inch has been carefully, intentionally designed to create a welcoming place for community events, prayer, and conversation.

As His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan V said at the opening of the center, this is "a place open to all who seek knowledge, reflection, and dialogue," regardless of faith or background. It's hard to put into words how calm and inviting the center feels, like a sigh of relief in the middle of busy Downtown, and we highly recommend you come experience it for yourself!

Our staff, along with board members Elaine DeCanio (VP) and Nicole Nathan Gibson, had an incredible time attending the Abilities Expo at NRG Park today! Together, we learned how to become better advocates and bring more accessibility to the Jung Center.

Thank you for your incredible work in this community and allowing us to learn from you ! Their Houston Expo will be at NRG through August 2, and it's free to register at abilities.com/houston
