POSTPONED:

Our town hall with Rep. Morales and Rep. Walle has been postponed to a later date due to the incoming Tropical Depression.

Please check in on friends, family, and neighbors ahead of the storm and go to readyharris.org to sign up for alerts.

As your next Harris County Judge, I will make sure our county is prepared before the storm by expanding community resilience hubs across every corner of Harris County so that when disaster hits, every family has access to power, food, and healthcare nearby.

What a blessing it was to celebrate the 99th birthday of my dear friend, constituent, retired teacher and principal, Arthur “Art” Adams.

When you have lived 99 years, you carry more than memories. You carry wisdom. You carry history. You carry lessons that cannot be found in a textbook. Ms. Adams has spent her life pouring into generations of young people, opening doors through education, leading with strength, and helping shape the lives of countless families in our community.

Over the years, she has become so much more to me than a constituent. She is a friend. She is part of the fabric of this community, and I am grateful for every conversation, every story, every laugh, and every piece of wisdom she has shared with me.

Our elders are living libraries, and we must never become too busy to sit at their feet, listen to their stories, and honor the sacrifices that made our lives possible.

Happy 99th Birthday, Ms. Art Adams. May God continue to bless you, keep you, and surround you with the same love you have given to so many others. It was truly an honor to celebrate you.
