The 28th Annual Historic Eastwood Home Tour is coming up October 17–18, and we’re looking for volunteers to help make this year’s tour a success!

📅 Saturday & Sunday, October 17–18
⏰ 12–5 PM both days

No Home Tour experience needed! Volunteers help welcome guests and serve as home docents, plus we have a few after-party logistics spots.

And volunteering comes with some perks! 😉 Every volunteer gets a ticket to the Home Tour AND an invitation to the volunteer after-party. It’s also a great way to meet neighbors, spend some time in these beautiful historic homes, and be part of one of Eastwood’s favorite traditions.

Grab a friend and sign up for a shift (or two!) that works for you. ❤️

📬 Welcome to Eastwood!

Our ECA Communications Committee recently sent a Welcome to Eastwood postcard to more than 100 of our newest neighbors. 💌🌹

We wanted to introduce ourselves, share a little about what the Eastwood Civic Association does, and invite our new neighbors to join us in civic engagement, neighborhood building, and community connection.

ECA is more than meetings. We’re neighbors working together to:
🌱 Build stronger connections
🏡 Protect and improve our neighborhood
🤝 Connect with local agencies and community partners
📣 Share information and advocate for our community
🎉 Create opportunities for neighbors to meet and connect

A train is still blocking the Galveston Subdivision, with crossings at:

🚧 Lockwood
🚧 Dumble
🚧 Altic

If you’re heading out this morning, please plan your route accordingly and allow extra time.

And a special reminder to drivers: please slow down and be safe. Our children are trying to get to school. ❤️
