TBB is seeking a passionate, goal-oriented chairperson to lead the board of directors in achieving TBB’s mission. Serving as a key leader of the organization, the chairperson is the primary liaison between the board and the executive director. Core responsibilities include governance, strategic planning, fundraising, chairing board meetings, setting agendas, overseeing executive director performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative, productive board environment that ensures optimal board performance for mission achievement and a growth in impact. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2026.

Please join us in wishing a massive congratulations to Vincent, one of our Adult Disability Program Trainers, for being named Trainer of the Quarter for Q3 2025! 👏💙
 
Between July and September, Vincent led 3 trainings on low back pain, reaching over 130 participants! These training sessions targeted folks of all ages and helped participants to better understand and manage back pain.

In September, more than 20 clinicians in Kirinyaga County attended Harrison’s training, which focused on amputations. The session equipped the healthcare providers present with tools and strategies to educate and support patients and their families throughout the rehabilitation process. 💪Participants were especially excited to learn practical ways to communicate clearly about the condition with the goal of ensuring their patients feel informed, confident, and empowered in their journey toward independence. 👏🤝

At TBB, we’re lucky to work with some amazing OTs. Special shout-out to all of the wonderful OTs on our team! 🫶
 
What exactly do OTs do? They empower people to thrive in their daily lives by helping with essential activities like bathing, eating, dressing, and social participation, among so much more! Don’t forget to thank an OT for the life-changing work they do every day!💪💙

In September, Vincent trained 32 participants, including both clinicians and community members, on low back pain. One of the attendees was an athlete who shared that he had struggled with back pain for years. The training helped him understand the cause of his back pain and how to seek the right professional care, rather than relying only on the gym. 💪✨

Another participant, a mother who experienced low back pain after a C-section, expressed gratitude for finally understanding the cause of her pain and how to address it professionally. These stories highlight the real-life impact of bringing practical knowledge and resources to communities.💙🤝

Celine recently trained 42 community members on low back pain covering causes, prevention, and management strategies. 💙
 
One participant shared that she often experienced back pain after long hours of sitting at work. During the session, she practiced proper posture and immediately noticed the difference! Another participant shared that her father has been struggling with chronic back pain, and she left the training equipped with simple exercises to teach him at home.💪✨
 
Moments like these remind us how knowledge spreads beyond the training room, empowering both participants and their families.🤝
