Be real, am I the only one bobbing my head like a dashboard dog while brushing my teeth this morning? The dentist said don't do it. Hahaha, I still do. I guess just a little humor this Thursday morning from me. RIP to my grandfather this morning, Mr. Miller, to some a grandfather, uncle, or cousin to others. I lost him to grief due to domestic violence, loss of a daughter, and a granddaughter clinging to life. It is the holidays, and domestic violence does happen during the holidays. Women and men, be careful, have your safety plan in place if needed. December 5th will be a day forever etched in my lifetime. Before you have to deal with this type of memory, become yours. Get out safely.

We are currently observing Day 23 of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This young lady possessed a strong sense of self-assurance, yet grappled with uncertainty regarding her identity and life goals. She encountered Terrence Kelly around 1994. Notably, I couldn't help but laugh while documenting this experience. To truly grasp the sequence of events, it would be necessary to consult an arrest record. In summary, the specifics of this story will be revealed in my book. Prior to this experience, I had never heard of the term 'narcissist' and had limited awareness of domestic violence, largely due to my youth and inexperience. I entered into a relationship without a comprehensive understanding of my partner's true character, as opposed to the facade he maintained. The key takeaway from this experience is the importance of taking the time to get acquainted with someone before entering into a relationship, thereby reducing the likelihood of regret. Domestic violence is a severe issue that results in the loss of numerous lives daily. Carolyn Thomas
