Hi Midtown Residents we received the notification below from TXDOT!

TxDOT would like to notify you about two I-45 Project closures scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, and lasting through 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 31.

The closures are to:
Hamilton St Southbound between Elgin St and Chenevert St
SH 288 Southbound Entrance Ramp from Chenevert

This is to allow crews to install sanitary sewer lines, the detour maps for both closures are attached.

It is important to note that vehicles wanting to access the Houston Academy for International Studies will still be able to travel on Hamilton south of Elgin, and make a right onto Stuart St.

Hey everyone, if you’ve seen this online or around the park in Midtown, I encourage you to attend. There will be a pedestrian walk with a consultant, and this is our chance to have our voices heard. No one knows better than residents which areas are too dark.

The walk is tonight at Baldwin Park at 6 PM. I’ll be there. I’ll also add the RSVP link in the comments.
