March 2024 Greetings to all Unity of Houston's Family Care Givers...
Here's hoping your family caregiving is giving you as many blessings as you are giving being a Family Caregiver!
Ebony and JoyBeth's commitments to being administrator's of Unity of Houston's CAREforGIVER'S have come to term.
We would like to see CAREforGIVERS continue on through 1. weekly educational, spiritual, and resource posting on this FB page and 2. By providing a biannual CAREforGIVERS Workshop Day. However, we need to find new volunteer CFG administrator/s to continue it on. Please contact Rev. Cindy Cline if you or anyone you know are interested.
We feel blessed having been a part of Unity of Houston's CAREforGIVER'S Support Group these past two years. We are thankful for everyone who has been involved. We will continue winging love and light your way...

On Sat. Jan. 20th from 1-3 pm in our Unity of Houston Pyramid come join our community for a "Cosmic Mass" with the theme of
"Embracing Your Shadow, Expressing Your Light"...

For a love donation, our community will pray, meditate, sing, dance and support each other in a journey of Living Love, Daring The Dark, Bestowing Birth and Celebrating Compassionately as the Mystics, Healers, Artists and Prophets that we all are.

It's a new year! As guaranteed 2023 has danced into becoming 2024. Happy New Year!

Family caregiving has very few guarantees to it so consciously connecting with our Divine Source this up and coming year is the most helpful set of skills we can share. And specific affirmations are a way to get there.

"We are living by the grace of Divine Order and Safety..."

"Together we can get this done..."

"I am love. You are love. We are love..."

As winter 23-24 makes its debut and all the seasonal gatherings keep us rolling along merrily, we pray that our hearts are mistletoed kissed and our lives appreciated and savored. It is that time of year that Family Caregiver's kindness factor has to kick in double-time. Showing appreciation for our Family Caregiver's could help them make it through additional holiday stress easier.
Saying THANK YOU thoughtfully helps, including sending them a thankful note acknowledging their hard work.
Asking how they are, giving them a personal gift, being there to listen, taking them out on a special outing, cooking them a special meal replenishes the kindness factor.
Encouraging self-care and offering them respite time for that self-care is a gift that will keep on giving...

A true champion of Family Caregivers, former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, made her transition today.

She has been a global humanitarian and established The Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers over 35 years ago with her commitment to create a more caring society by recognizing and supporting some of the most vulnerable populations.

Many of the awarenesses and programs for family caregivers have been researched, funded and set up through her institute and we are grateful!!
