We are beyond honored to share that The Courage to Bee has been officially nominated for the 42nd Annual Governor’s Volunteer Awards for our contributions to Texas education and volunteerism.

This recognition reflects the collective impact of every single volunteer who has given their time, talent, and heart to serve vulnerable communities across Houston, McAllen, and surrounding areas.

None of this would be possible without our hive.

Our Sports for Bees Program in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 just celebrated its 4th Annual Sports Awards Ceremony 🥇, and what an incredible milestone it has been.

For three years now, our partnership with the Hernandez League has been nothing short of amazing. Together, we have witnessed growth, resilience, and dreams turning into real opportunities.

Today, our Bee athletes are training in a brand new batting cage built by The Courage to Bee, made possible thanks to our amazing sponsor Koala Kare. But that’s not all. This ongoing partnership has provided brand new uniforms and essential resources so these young athletes can continue pursuing their ultimate dream one day playing in the MLB.

Since we began working with the Hernandez League, two of our players have been signed to MLB leagues. This is a huge advancement for the league, for the community, and for these families. It reflects the dedication of the coaches, the discipline of the athletes, and our deep commitment to creating lasting impact in vulnerable communities filled with extraordinary talent.

We are so proud of our Dominican Bees. 🐝
And this is only the beginning.

WE DID IT! 💻 🧒 🛜 🇭🇳

READ ALL ⬇️

One year ago, we officially opened our second international project in rural Honduras 🇭🇳 in the beautiful community of Maraita, Francisco Morazán.

In 2025, we made a commitment to the school and the local government of Maraita: we would work together to make the school better. We promised to build a Technology for Bees classroom and bring reliable internet access not just for one school, but as a foundation for surrounding schools in the area.

Fast forward to January 2026… and today, that promise is a REALITY!

Thanks to the incredible efforts of the local government of Maraita and our Gold Sponsors and Koala Kare , we have officially opened Phase One of our Technology Classroom.

✨ The entire school has been remodeled
✨ A brand new technology classroom
✨ 10 brand new iPads
✨ 15 laptops
✨ AC installed
✨ Reliable high-speed satellite internet powered by Starlink

Before we met this community, the school had no AC and no access to modern technology. Today, these students not only have computers they have a beautiful, dignified learning space designed for opportunity.

It truly takes a village to lift communities. Our hive showed up. The local government showed up. Our sponsors showed up. And together, we made it happen.

Phase Two is coming soon as we complete the classroom with brand new furniture, and our long-term goal is to install AC in every single classroom on campus, and expand to new rural schools, which is already in the works!

This is what impact looks like. This is what partnership looks like. This is what happens when vision meets action.

2025 was a year of purpose, growth, and impact. Together, we reached and exceeded our goals serving over 2,500 families and students across Texas, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic.

Because of your support, here’s what we accomplished:

🐝 Honduras Expansion :
We proudly opened our second international project in Honduras 🇭🇳 making Mochilas for Bees and Technology for Bees officially a reality for students who need it most.

🏈 Sports for Bees – Houston
We launched our Sports for Bees program in Houston in partnership with the Heart of Michael Foundation, supporting and empowering young athletes through sports and mentorship.

🎒 Community Programs in Houston

We continued our beloved Back-to-School Mochilas for Bees, celebrated Easter with Houston schools, and brought joy and hope to families through our annual Christmas for Bees initiative.

⚾ Sports for Bees – Dominican Republic 🇩🇴
We proudly continued our Sports for Bees program in the Dominican Republic, sponsoring local athletes and supporting the incredible work being done to uplift youth through sports, discipline, and opportunity.

None of this would be possible without every volunteer, donor, partner, and sponsor who believes in our mission. Your generosity and trust helped us uplift the most vulnerable and strengthen our communities locally and internationally.

✨ Christmas for Bees Houston ✨

This was more than a Christmas event, it was a moment of hope.

Thank you to our amazing partners Harmony Public Schools - Houston North, , , and firstwatch for standing with us and helping make this day possible. Because of your support, families enjoyed a free Christmas shopping experience, warm pastries, hot chocolate, and the joy of bringing gifts home to their children.

And yesterday… we saw that hope come alive.
We saw smiles.
We saw relief.
We saw children’s eyes light up when they saw their gifts.

These families, selected from one of the Harmony schools, are facing real hardships loss of loved ones, homelessness, and even a recent house fire. Yet together, we came together to brighten their Christmas and remind them they are not alone.

Thank you to everyone who believes in the mission of The Courage to Bee and is always willing to be part of something meaningful. Together, we turned compassion into action and joy into memories. 🤍🐝

One smile, one gesture, one student at a time!

The Courage To Bee helps Youth at Risk in impoverished countries. Our first pilot project is at works in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. This program helps to educate new generations through educational workshops that help them to understand not only the importance of education but also help them understand, and build purpose, elevate self esteem, and a sense of leadership in their communities. The program also provides supplies through their campaign / movement ( One Mochila at a Time) where some low income schools get backpacks and school supplies to help them to go back to school with everything they need to succeed.
