Houston International Seafarers Centers, Inc. Our mission is supported through partnerships with the maritime industry, Port Houston and the local community.

The Houston International Seafarers Center provides a “home away from home” for seafarers visiting the Port of Houston by meeting their spiritual, social and physical needs through support, assistance and fellowship. These collaborative outreach efforts improve the welfare of seafarers and strengthen their crews, effectively benefiting the companies in which they operate and the consumers who utilize the goods they transport all over the world.

At the Port of Houston, on docks around the world, and out on the water, seafarers do their part—working in all kinds of weather to keep goods moving and the world connected. ⚓And we’re proud to be here to support their efforts.

One year in our new home, and we're throwing a party to prove it! 🎉⚓️

Join us next Thursday, August 20th, as we celebrate our 1st Birthday at our new location!

🌟 10 AM - 4 PM: Family time — free museum admission, kid activities, and birthday cupcakes
🌟 6 PM - 8 PM: Adults-only evening — champagne, cupcakes, light snacks, and good company

While docked at LBC Tank Terminals, the MT Four Wind had a special request — one that can be fulfilled in plenty of places, but best fulfilled in Houston: 20 half-gallons of Blue Bell Ice Cream! 🍦🤠

We were happy to help! They also needed Bounty napkins, although we’re fairly certain those napkins weren't entirely because of the ice cream. 😂

We love bringing a little taste of Texas — and a hearty Texas welcome — to seafarers whenever they need it! 💙⚓️🍦
