NASA has a huge variety of STEM resources available for the new school year, including student challenges, science activities, STEMonstrations, NASA Kids’ Club, career resources, and more.

And for students looking to take the next step: NASA Johnson
Space Center is accepting applications for Spring 2027 internships! High school and higher education students can gain hands-on experience while working with a NASA mentor.

SpaceX has announced plans for a future private Starship flyby mission around Mars led by Fram2 commander Chun Wang.

Every new mission helps expand what’s possible for the future of human space exploration and inspires the next generation of scientists, engineers, and explorers.

SpaceX announced a private Starship flyby of Mars, to be led by a cryptocurrency billionaire and entrepreneur who has already flown in space once.

🚀✨ As Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close, we’re celebrating educators like Brendajulissa Díaz, STEAM Teacher at Colinas del Norte Elementary School, who are inspiring the next generation of explorers.

Through a Mars Initiative Micro-G Education Grant, Brendajulissa’s “Mission: Space Cadet” project is giving 3rd and 4th grade students hands-on STEM experiences through coding, CubeSat building, and collaborative space-themed learning in their after-school Space Club. 🌎💻

And the mission is almost ready for liftoff… 🚀

Their student-built CubeSats are scheduled to launch aboard hot air balloons on May 10!

Thank you, Brendajulissa, for helping students dream bigger, reach higher, and see themselves in the future of space exploration. ✨

This at least suggests that Starship is about to start making successful flights instead of test flights that were likely to have problems. Could be an exciting second half of the year for SpaceX fans!
