A new era of discovery has officially launched! 🚀🔭

On Sunday, NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope lifted off from Kennedy Space Center aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy.
Roman is now beginning its nearly one-million-mile journey to Lagrange Point 2 (L2), where it will spend its mission looking deeper into some of the biggest mysteries of our universe.

🌌 Dark matter and dark energy
🪐 Planets beyond our solar system
✨ Billions of galaxies and our cosmic history
🔭 A field of view at least 100 times larger than Hubble Space Telescope

Roman will allow scientists to see more of the universe, faster than ever before — and its discoveries could help reshape our understanding of the cosmos.

Here’s to the next chapter of exploration! 🚀

🚀 A new episode of Mission Voices is here!

In "Dreams That Take Flight," host Lexie Garrett sits down with physician, cardiologist, and astronaut Dr. Eiman Jahangir to talk about what happens when a lifelong dream of space finally becomes reality.

Eiman shares his journey of pursuing both medicine and spaceflight, making it to the final rounds of NASA astronaut selection multiple times, and ultimately finding another path to space through commercial spaceflight.

Together, they discuss what it feels like to sit on top of a rocket, seeing Earth from space, the challenges of sending humans to Mars, and why our desire to explore may be an inherent part of being human.

And today is extra special: Eiman's new book, A Heart for Space: An Astronaut's Guide to Achieving the Impossible, is also out TODAY! 📚🚀
