These scenes from Survival of the Thickest were inspired by Michelle Buteau's personal experience with IVF and miscarriages, bringing visibility to the often unseen grief of pregnancy loss.

Thank you to Friends of El Salvador for welcoming us to their Christmas in July 5K! We were honored to host a vendor booth, share information about Missing Pieces Support Group, and invite the community to join us for our upcoming Life After Loss 5K & Fun Run.

A special thank you to Jamilah Robinson, Weijiang Tang, and Samantha Elizabeth for representing Missing Pieces and helping us connect with community members throughout the event.

We also congratulate Friends of El Salvador on having July 30 officially proclaimed Christmas in July Day by County Judge Lina Hidalgo. It was a wonderful day of community, connection, and even a few rounds of Lotería for fun prizes!

30 care packages. 6 volunteers. Countless families reminded they are not alone.

A heartfelt thank you to for hosting two Care Package Assembly Sessions this month, and to the six dedicated volunteers who gave their time to help assemble 30 care packages for families experiencing pregnancy loss.

We'd also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Leah Chapman, Executive Director of the Women's Health Research & Action Center, for her continued partnership and support of our mission. We are grateful for organizations and leaders who stand beside families during some of life's most difficult moments.

Please join us in welcoming two incredible new volunteers to the Missing Pieces Support Group team! 💙🩷

We're excited to welcome Amanda Grace Duplantis , our new Peer Mentor, and Audri, our new Care Package Logistics Coordinator.

Amanda brings lived experience with multiple early pregnancy losses and is passionate about ensuring no one has to navigate grief alone. As a Peer Mentor, she'll provide compassionate, one-on-one support to parents on their healing journey.

Audri is a postpartum doula with more than five years of experience supporting newborns, infants, and their families. As our Care Package Logistics Coordinator, she'll help ensure our care packages reach families with the thoughtfulness and compassion they deserve.

We're so grateful to have Amanda and Audri as part of the Missing Pieces family. Welcome!
