I lost both of my grandfathers to cancer, one in 2005 of kidney cancer and one in 2009 of liver cancer. In May of 2010, my father was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer and he is currently fighting it and undergoing treatment at the MD Anderson in Houston, TX. It is with these three great men in mind that February 2011, I founded Infinity and Beyond. With your help, Infinity and Beyond hope

s to help fund cancer treatment for those incapable of doing so on their own, as well as raise money to fund cancer research some of the nations top research facilities. Through out the year events will also be put on in an effort to raise funds. Please do not hesitate to contact me either by phone or email with any questions, comments, or concerns.

April 8th thru 12th of 2011, I rode the first leg of the Ride against Cancer from Galveston, TX to Argyle, TX. This year, I will be completing a similar route on those same days in memory of my father's passing last year on April 12th, 2016.

While it is only 16 days away and this fundraiser is coming together very last minute, it is my goal to raise $5,000 towards Infinity and Beyond's mission. More information and ways to contribute will come shortly. Thank you for any and all help towards accomplishing this mission.

Thanks to your donations and just in time for Christmas, Infinity and Beyond is able to deliver a gift to MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital.

Often times during treatment and recovery, children are unable to attend school or activities within the hospital. Thanks to today's technology, robots can be utilized by the children so that they don't miss out on education and interaction with other children.

Cancer is a horrible experience, but we hope that this robot can bring smiles to 100s of children who fight everyday at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Happy Birthday, Dad!

My father, the inspiration for Infinity and Beyond, would have turned 67 today. It was in his memory, that we gave a grant to MD Anderson Cancer Center's Lung Cancer Moon Shot, an innovational research program set to disrupt the standard of research by bringing teams of scientists together to collaborate, pushing new treatments to fruition faster.

Additionally, in the near future we will be gifting the MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital with equipment to make the children's life as seamless as possible as they forego a typical childhood for treatment & care. The children's life area of this hospital is truly amazing, and we are proud to support their efforts.

The majority of funding for these gifts is thanks to donations made at my father's funeral back in April. My family and I are truly grateful for your generosity.

It's with a heavy heart that I inform you that yesterday, April 12, my father and inspiration for Infinity and Beyond went to be with the lord. The support, love, and prayers have been never ending, and for that we are extremely grateful. My father was a well loved man, and rightfully so. He always put others first, and wore a perpetual smile that would light up a room. Times have been tough, but he wouldn't want us to continue in grief. Rather, he would prefer us to celebrate his life and remember what he taught us & how he loved us.

While the organization hasn't been active as of lately, my family and I will be transitioning the organization into a memorial fund serving the same mission, to help those who are fighting cancer. I am looking forward to working closely with my family to make this organization a reflection of my fathers strength and love for others. Should you feel inclined to give a gift in remembrance of my father. Please go to www.JEDmemorial.com

As many of you may know, my father's battle with Lung Cancer was a major influence in my decision to start Infinity and Beyond back in 2011. Fortunately for me, my family, and all those who have been fortunate enough to know him, he is surviving the fight and living a great life. Unfortunately, everyone is not so lucky.

Please make sure to continue to pray for my father and all those who are affected by this horrible disease.

November is lung cancer awareness month. Over two-thirds of patients are diagnosed at a stage when it’s too late for them to be offered treatment that could cure them. And fewer than one in 10 people diagnosed with lung cancer survive for at least five years. We know this needs to change, and this is why lung cancer is one of our biggest research priorities. We’ve pulled together key information about the disease and what we’re doing to improve survival on our blog, here: http://bit.ly/1vUPzup

A MSU study consisting of lung cancer patients, primarily smokers between the ages of 51 to 79 years old, is shedding more light on the stigma often felt by these patients, the emotional toll it can have and how health providers can help.
