Boston update: Massachusetts is rolling out new chip/tap EBT cards to help prevent SNAP theft and better protect families’ benefits. 💳🍎

Following a successful Worcester pilot, new cards will begin mailing to clients statewide throughout August.

This is an important step toward safer benefit access. If you receive SNAP, watch your mail and stay alert for updates from DTA.

Sixty-one years ago, in 1965, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the historic Voting Rights Act into law. 🗳️

This landmark policy expanded access to the ballot for millions of Americans and reminds us that our voices matter.

Today, we honor that legacy by using our voices at the ballot box and helping build healthier, more empowered communities. 💙

Civic participation is connected to community health 🗳️💙 because voting helps shape policies, resources, and systems that affect daily life, including healthcare access, food security, housing, transportation, and neighborhood investment.

When more people are able to participate, communities have a stronger voice in the decisions that impact health outcomes.

Civic health is public health.

This National Health Center Week, we’re celebrating the Community Health Centers that serve as trusted spaces of care, support, and connection. 🏥💙

At Link Health, we’re proud to work alongside our clinic partners in Boston, Houston and Fort Bend County to help extend that impact beyond the exam room. With their support, we can reach more patients, help them understand the benefits they may qualify for, and support enrollment in programs that can improve health, stability, and access to care.

Led by Vot-ER, Civic Health Month highlights the connection between voting and health outcomes. Why does it matter? Because decisions made at the ballot box can shape access to healthcare, food support, housing, transportation, and other resources that impact community well-being.

Voting is more than a civic action, it is connected to the conditions that help people live healthier lives.

Civic health is public health.

Today is the day! 📍💙 Our Gulfton canvassing event is happening today.

We’re ready to connect with neighbors, support voter readiness, and help families learn about federal benefits like SNAP and other resources they may qualify for.

We’ll also be sharing tools to help residents see what’s on their ballot, find where and how to vote, view key voting deadlines, and sign up for election reminders. 🗳️

Our team is out in the community helping patients learn about benefits, resources, and support they may qualify for. From clinic tables to one-on-one conversations, this work is about meeting people where they are and making access easier. 🩺✨

School is out, but food support may still be available. ☀️🍎

SUN Bucks/Summer EBT provides $120 in grocery benefits per eligible school-age child during summer in participating states. Some children may be enrolled automatically if their household receives SNAP, TANF, FDPIR, or certain other benefits.

Link Health can help families understand what they may qualify for and where to start. 💙
