📞 A look back at our latest phone banking event!
Last month, our volunteers came together to connect with families, answer questions, and share information about the importance of staying engaged in their communities.

Together, we made 1,616 calls in under an hour. Every conversation was an opportunity to help families feel more informed and confident about making their voices heard.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy to make the event possible. 💙

🗽 Link Health took over New York! ✈️We were invited to attend an AI event hosted by data.org, and our very own Dr. Greg from the Tech Team attended on our behalf. There are some really exciting and new opportunities underway. 🙌

We're proud to have been part of this gathering as a Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth and data.org AI2AI Challenge past awardee. We were recognized among a global cohort of organizations using AI to accelerate inclusion and economic empowerment. We don't take that lightly. 💙💻

We were selected from over 500 applications across 82 countries, and that opportunity continues to fuel our mission: building smarter, more equitable pathways for families to access the benefits they qualify for.

We're excited that Dr. Greg connected with fellow innovators, shared what we've learned, and is working to keep pushing the work of inclusive, responsible AI forward at Link Health.

🏥 CLINIC SPOTLIGHT: Legacy Community Health
What started in 1978 as a small volunteer clinic, Montrose Clinic, created to serve Houston's gay community during the HIV/AIDS crisis, has grown into the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Texas. 💙

After merging with The Assistance Fund in 2005, Legacy Community Health was born, and the mission only grew from there. Today, Legacy operates 50+ locations across the Texas Gulf Coast, from Houston to Baytown, Beaumont, Deer Park, and Fort Bend, offering everything from primary care and pediatrics to OB/GYN, behavioral health, dental, vision, and pharmacy services, all under one roof.

At the heart of it all is a simple promise: healthcare should be open to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay, no judgment, no exceptions.

That promise now reaches 250,000+ patients every year, including 90,000+ pharmacy patients, with free testing for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis C, and pregnancy along the way.

Nearly 50 years later, Legacy is still proof that access to care shouldn't depend on your zip code or your paycheck. 🙌

🎉 Congratulations to our Senior Patient Navigator, turn Johns Hopkins Medical School student, Abhi on having his abstract accepted for APHA 2026 in San Antonio! 💙

His presentation will highlight Link Health data on reaching Hispanic patients and how our two-fold outreach strategy helps meet people where they are to address disparities in food security.

Through in-person outreach, 33% of patients screened by Link Health identify as Hispanic, and 27% of those screened prefer Spanish for communication.

The work explores how combining community-based, in-person outreach with digital engagement can help expand access, reduce barriers, and better connect families with food assistance and other essential benefits To learn more, visit his session at the conference.

🎉 Our Executive Director, Ar'Sheill, is a guest speaker at the Colorado Adult Education Coalition's Bridging the Digital Divide Conference, running October 5–9! 💻

Fittingly, this falls right during Digital Inclusion Week ( ) 🙌

Her session, "Addressing Non-Medical Drivers of Health through the Lifeline Program," tackles a staggering reality: nearly $142 billion in benefits go unclaimed each year, deepening disparities in underserved communities.

She'll share how Link Health closes that gap by pairing Certified Patient Navigators, community clinic partnerships, and a proprietary AI platform to simplify enrollment and expand access. 💙

Proud to see this work on a national stage during such a meaningful week for digital equity. 👀

Do You Qualify for HEAP? Applications Open Today! 🔥
Winter heating bills add up fast, HEAP is designed to help before that bill becomes a burden. Let's break it down. 🏠
The Home Energy Assistance Program (formerly Fuel Assistance) helps eligible Massachusetts households pay a portion of their winter heating bills, paid directly to your heating company. It's a grant, not a loan, it never needs to be repaid. 💙

Do you qualify? You need to meet:
✅ Income: Household income at or below 60% of the State Median Income (based on household size and gross annual income of everyone 18+ in the home)
✅ Residency: You're a Massachusetts renter or homeowner, even if heat is included in your rent
✅ Applications are accepted each year, you must apply annually, even if you qualified before

💡 Not sure if you qualify? Many people assume their income is too high, it's worth checking before ruling yourself out.
